ACCREDITATION
Accreditation is a quality assurance process based on specific, predetermined, internationally accepted quantitative and qualitative criteria and indicators that have been published in advance and are in line with the Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area (ESG 2015).
The purpose of accreditation is the assurance of the quality of Higher Education and the effectiveness and transparency of the overall functioning of Institutions of Higher Education.
The accreditation is carried out by means of common criteria and quality assurance procedures, according to the national legislation, the decisions of ΗΑΗΕ and the commitments of our country, as a member of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA).
It is an evidence based fair process, carried out under conditions of transparency and meritocracy by independent experts. It leads to the decision whether a programme of studies complies with the minimum accreditation criteria, published in advance, or not.
The accreditation results are published and made available to all interested parties.
For the information of interested parties, regarding Certification matters, the Hellenic Authority for Higher Education (ΗΑΗΕ) has created the following Guide:
